Book Notes

Drawing on in-depth study of megaprojects (large-scale proects), this study explores how the formula for approval of mega-projects is an unhealthy cocktail of underestimated costs, overestimated revenues, undervalued environmental impacts, and overvalued economic development effects. Based on theory and some scientific evidence from the several hundred projects in 20 nations, this book identifies the problems of, as well as practical solutions for, megaprojects.
